The Tropicana deposit has one main ore zone, and sub-ordinate thin 3-5 metre discontinuous mineralised lenses. Under 0.5 g/t gold is also found in the garnet gneiss dominated Hanging Wall. The main ore zone is 2 to 50 metres thick, averaging 30 metres, striking for 1.5 kilometres, and dipping 20-45 degrees south-east.
