The use of PG instead of natural gypsum to produce PG blocks not only offered the same advantages of gypsum blocks, a large amount of PG could also be recycled. Meanwhile, the leaching toxicity test showed that the PG block manufactured by conventional mechanical compaction had a good sealing effect on toxic or harmful substances.
