On another forum, it was suggested that micropolishing was best accomplished using 'Flour paper, kerosene and a boot lace'. I assume 'flour paper' is very fine sandpaper or crocus cloth, cut to fit, wrapped around the journal, wetted with kerosene, and then spun by pulling on a bootlace wrapped around a few times.
