Bentonite
Bentonite is a naturally occurring plastic clay that was first found in about 1890 in upper cretaceous tuff near Fort Benton, Montana. It is a very useful and versatile mineral that is found in a wide variety of products and services. Therefore, bentonite is often called "the clay of a thousand uses."Bentonite is created from the alteration of volcanic ash.
